This page explains what personal data we collect through assetfloat.com, why, who else handles it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only. When a company becomes a customer, the contract with that company sets out how we process data in the AssetFloat product.

Who is responsible

The controller for the personal data on this website is 2Wheels2Work BV, Kruiskenslei 191, 2850 Boom, Belgium, company number BE 1006.197.232. AssetFloat is being developed within 2Wheels2Work BV. When AssetFloat becomes a company of its own, we'll update this page.

For questions about your data, mail hello@assetfloat.com.

What we collect, and why

When you fill in the contact form

We receive your company name and the email address or phone number you enter, together with the time you sent it. We use these to contact you about AssetFloat, and for nothing else: no newsletter, no mailing list, no sharing with other companies.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering a business enquiry that you started (article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). You can object at any time, and we will then stop contacting you and delete your details.

Leaving your details is voluntary. Without an email address or phone number we can't get back to you.

When you visit the site

Like any web server, our host receives your IP address and the technical details your browser sends when it requests a page. Our hosting provider keeps IP addresses for a few months to detect abuse. We don't use them to identify you.

The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party trackers. Fonts and images come from our own server. That is why there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry doesn't lead to a conversation or a collaboration, we delete your details within 12 months of your last contact with us. If it does, we keep them for as long as we work together and then for as long as accounting and tax law requires for the related records.

Who else handles your data

We use these providers. Each one only processes the data needed for the service it provides to us.

Some of these providers are based in the United States or may process data there. Those transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We don't sell your data and we don't use it for automated decisions or profiling.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we have about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere. You can also object to our use of it. Mail hello@assetfloat.com; we answer within one month.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be. We'd appreciate hearing from you first, so we can try to fix it.

Changes

When we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top.
